Swiss Alps Illustrated Art Print
Part of a new "Mini Location Series" in which I will be releasing small limited edition print runs of illustrated landscapes from around the world. Inspired by my travels, each series will highlight a different country through watercolour paintings. All inspired and informed by my en plein air studies documenting these beautiful landscapes along my travels over the years.
Switzerland Series:
Inspired by the magestic towering Apls of Switzerland, this series documents a hot air balloon's journey across the great Lac Léman (Lake Geneva) and high into the clouds above the Alps. The illustrations were used for lodestars Anthology's Switzerland issue to accompany an article all on this hot air balloon journey.
Drawing from visits to Lake Lucerne, the prints are inspired by the magical morning mist that hung below the mountains and over the lake during the late summer months as well as the colourfull sunsets that draped the swiss valleys in rich colours. These views were enjoyed and documented through en plein air watercolours a top of grassy hillsides on our many evening walks.
