One way or another, I was making sure to use my enamel mugs I stock in my shop on the wedding day! It's definitely turned into a running joke that I am constantly trying to get new content for these mugs...and a wedding might be the most elaborate excuse yet!

I used my Snowdon Mug for our reception's evening tea & coffee, but also created this little sign to encourage guests to label & take the mugs home with them as favours!

One of the jobs I was most excited about when it came to wedding planning was illustrating all the stationary, so I thought it would be fun to do a mini wedding series this week, where I share all the stationary I created for our wedding.
Starting off with my favourite- the invites!
.
The theme for the stationary was summer wildflowers, so I wanted to centre the design around this welsh poppy illustration, as well as highlight the beautiful landscape our venue was set in at @wildelodge
I especially loved working on the two little A6 illustrated maps to accompany the invites!

This commission for the well loved view of the Mournes from Murlough Nature Reserve was such a delight to work on but definitly took a bit more figuring out than my smaller scale commissions!
The images here show how I tackle a bigger scale painting by breaking the landscape up into different sections, working roughly from top to bottom and building up the details with light watercolour washes to create more depth to the piece

So very excited to be apart of this exhibition, capturing the contemporary pilgrimage route of St Cadfan, and to exhibit amongst such talented artists. There is a whole variety of artwork on display from sculpture to printmaking, I myself cannot wait to go visit! Excited to share these new illustrations, which are part of @orieltymeirion new exhibition Llwybr Cadfan: Landmarks & Ancient Sites, now open to the public!
The exhibition is a beautiful collection of some amazing artist's work capturing the recently recognised contemporary pilgrimage route of St Cadfan. Staring in Tywyn and following the coast all the way to Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) off of the Llŷn Peninsula.

My work for this exhibition took me along the routes in-between where the dramatic mountains of Eryri sweep down to meet the coastline along Llandanwg beach, and Harlech.

These two new illustrations capturing the panoramic vistas of Eryri's mountains, were documented plein air on a ridiculously bright and sunny early day in March this year, whilst walking sections of the pilgrimage trail, and then later developed into these illustrations back in my studio.

They are currently on display at the exhibition as fine art giclée prints, in a limited edition of 10 🌞

I had the pleasure of creating an illustrated map of Tollymore Forest Park for the lovely folks at @enniskeenestate at the start of the year.
🐿🌿🦌🍄
The glamping cabins and secret spa are situated right on the edge of the forest park, with access straight onto the park trails.
I was spoiled for choice with all the things to illustrate for this map; from the many activities the guests can do (wild swimming in the river, spa, walks & e-bike trails) to the local wildlife and the special historic bridges & structures built within the park itself!
